The Entrepreneurship Inter-College is a national pitching competition that aims to foster a culture of entrepreneurship in TVET students. Students are invited to submit their business ideas, products or services and existing businesses to take part.
How to enter
The competition is open to students currently registered at one of the 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa. To qualify to participate, students need to be:
- Enrolled as a Nated or NCV student
- Enrolled for a full-time or part-time course
- Must have a business idea or existing business with commercial potential
Not only do students have the opportunity of getting their share of R100 000 in prizes, but students also get mentorship and business support for a year. Most importantly, the winners get to put their colleges on the map and enjoy the bragging rights of being an Inter-College category winner.
Students also get to interact and network with other like-minded students in the technical space and hopefully collaborate to build high impact businesses.
Each year the entries for the competition opens in March and closes April. Students enter the competition by completing an online entry form
